Now that we're in the homestretch for the interactive spy novel There's Always a Madman: Bring the Thunder (Steam page here) releasing July 7, 2025, here is a character profile for a key character in the game, the madman Zeus.

Name: Zeus

Summary: Zeus is a formidable opponent.  He is no God, but he has methods that are a step above what the ordinary person can pull off.  He harbors a grudge against the world and has both the skills and the means to do something about it.  With second-to-none skills at taking on false identities and two loyal lieutenants by his side, he is on a level playing field against even our best agents.

Expertise: First and foremost, Zeus is an expert mask-maker, even earning the nickname The Man of a Million Masks.  There is no man he cannot imitate, no person he cannot become.  To defeat him, you will first have to identify him, which is no easy task when it comes to a chameleon such as Zeus.  Even if you can pick him out of a crowd, he still presents a challenge when going mano a mano, as he is said to have the body of a Greek God with his muscular build.

Shortcomings: Zeus intends to destroy the world with a weather device he is building.   But his background is not in meteorology, it is in psychology.  Therefore, he is reliant on his henchpeople, Dr. Hailey Winters and Dr. Ray Summers to build the device for him.  As Zeus has a short temper, it may be possible to turn one or more of these acolytes against him.  After all, a team is only as a good as its weakest link.  But be warned, these two have PhDs in meteorology and constructing a device that can control the weather may be their life's work.

Final Verdict: Don't let the name fool you - Zeus is just a man.  He may seek to smite the general populace, but he is a mere mortal with all the strengths and weaknesses that entails.  The man can blend in with his skill at mask-making and he has a six pack of abs, but he is quick to anger and does not trust easily.  It will take all your skills to defeat someone this cunning and ruthless, but we cannot let him complete that weather machine of his; we cannot let him bring the thunder.
