I've just released a new trailer for A Weekend in Puzzleburg to the company YouTube page titled "The Puzzles of Puzzleburg." After releasing the first trailer titled "Scenes Around Puzzleburg," I received feedback that people were interested in seeing more of the puzzles in the game (the game does take place in a town called Puzzleburg, after all), so I created this new trailer which places a focus on the different puzzles found in the game. At the end of the trailer, I've also announced the game's release date: Friday February 17, 2023.
Why Friday February 17, 2023:
1. I'm in the Q4 2022 group for receiving a Steam Deck, so setting an early 2023 release date will enable me some time with the Deck to ensure the game works well with the Steam Deck right from launch day. For details on why I believe A Weekend in Puzzleburg is a great fit for the Steam Deck, please see this previous post titled Will A Weekend in Puzzleburg be "verified" (or at least "playable") on the Steam Deck?
2. February 17, 2023 is National Random Acts of Kindness Day, and as you can see in this new trailer, solving people's needs by performing random acts of kindness is a big theme for the game
3. The game takes place during a weekend vacation (lasting from Friday to Sunday), so it's only natural for the game to release on a Friday. In addition, Monday February 20, 2023 is Presidents' Day, which means the game will come out on a holiday weekend in the US, no less. Perfect for taking a virtual vacation
So there you have it - now you can book your own weekend in Puzzleburg come Friday February 17, 2023.
I'm also happy to announce that the title track "I Spent a Weekend in Puzzleburg" is now available for pre-order on iTunes and Amazon. The song will release on October 3rd to coincide with the start of the Steam Next Festival.
For further information about that, please see my earlier post "A Weekend in Puzzleburg" will be in the Steam Next Fest Oct 3 - Oct 10! And don't forget to wishlist the game on Steam, of course.
