In the demo, I started reading a book - will I be able to read the entire book in the full game?
·Yes - in the demo for A Weekend in Puzzleburg, you select a book to read before going to Friday dinner, and then you read the first chapter of that book as you wait for your food. In the full game, each time you sit down for a meal, you take out the same book you've chosen and read another chapter.
In this way, the story you've selected carries with you throughout the weekend, and by the end of the weekend, you will have read the entire book and completed the arc of the story in the book. Consider it a story within a story, much like how Shakespeare would include a play within a play.
What exactly are in each of these books? Well, here are the basic plot outlines (no spoilers):
1. Romance novel (Princess Azalea and the Chosen Knight: A Medieval Romance Novel) - a princess chooses a knight to slay a beast in the woods, but they must also face their feelings for one another
2. Murder mystery novel (Inspector Langway and the Footprint-Free Beach: A Murder Mystery Novel) - an inspector and his trusty assistant are called upon to deduce the identity of a killer after a body is found on the beach with no footprints around (note that although the case is generally treated humorously, the underlying subject matter of murder and mayhem may not be suitable for children under 13, and the game advises as much before you choose this book)
3. Actor's biography (Not Gonna Happen: The Unlikely Rise to Fame of Puzzleburg's Deke Wellington) - traces the stunning career of Puzzleburg's hometown hero, movie star Deke Wellington, with a particular emphasis on his breakthrough role in the film "Always Say Always" (in the full game, you can catch a snippet of this film on your hotel room TV)
So choose which book wisely, and please consider a second or third playthrough of A Weekend in Puzzleburg to read through each of the books.
